Originally the Drawing Room, this room enjoys the southerly aspect with views to the West over the lake. The room was originally less wide with a canopied veranda onto the south lawn. This was enclosed to provide a larger room and has placed the fireplace more centrally.

The Club tries to retain an authentic feel to the furnishings wherever possible, within the balance of keeping comfort and style of today with the Arts and Crafts ethos and its limited resources. Research is underway to identify what if anything was in the house when the Motor Boat Club took ownership back in 1950.
You can see in early photographs the veranda entrance to the Drawing Room; this was later enclosed as part of the Club's lounge / bar.

The Iconic Voysey fireplace circa 1904
The wood panelling is original, and the design of the fireplace gives an example of Voysey's use of tiles. A Grand Piano can be seen in the photographs indicating that perhaps musical evenings were held here. The room has many Voysey features including the metal window frames and the ventilation grill. Sadly the house has very little of the original furnishings.

The bar and service room were installed in the 1980’s to accommodate the evolving needs of the Club and its increasing membership.
